The foundation of Keystone Shed Works began in 1999, while founder Steve Bauman was working for Habitat for Humanity of Dallas, TX. What Steve realized was that while everyone needs and deserves a home of their own, quite often their homes lack sufficient storage space.

This moment of inspiration served as the impetus to start Keystone Shed Works, a shed company with a difference. Steve realized, that while there are many generic shed companies just making the same models in different colors…most consumers are looking to customize and add their personality to every element of their home, and this includes sheds. So the obvious answer was to create the only shed company that allows you to customize your shed from the hardware to adding a stone finish or cupola to your shed.
